Pope Julius II was born with the given name of Giuliano della Rovere in the year 1443 A.D., and died in 1513 A.D. He began his reign as Pope in the year 1503 A.D. and ended his reign in the year 1513 A.D., during the Renaissance. Julius II brought extraordinary force of personality to the papacy. Determined to restore and enlarge the Papal States, he personally involved himself in military campaigns and diplomacy, earning the title of the Warrior Pope.
