Saint

In broad biblical usage, a holy person belonging to God; in common Catholic usage, a deceased member of the faithful recognized for heroic holiness and now believed to share the blessed life of heaven. Canonized saints are publicly venerated as models of Christian life and intercessors, but worship is due to God alone.
