Saint Michael the Archangel Medal – Silver-Plated ZAMAC – Made in Italy – 1″

Sword raised. The dragon beneath his feet. And a name that is itself a declaration of faith: “Who is like God?”

This Saint Michael the Archangel Medal is a high-quality, Italian-made Catholic devotional medal crafted from silver-plated ZAMAC, a durable metal alloy composed primarily of zinc. Unlike inexpensive lightweight aluminum medals, its more substantial metal construction gives the medal a traditional feel while retaining a compact size suited to wearing, carrying, or incorporating into Catholic devotional gifts. Each medal measures approximately 22 × 15mm, or about 1 inch tall, and weighs approximately 2 grams.

Saint Michael is one of the Archangels named in Sacred Scripture. His name, traditionally understood as the question “Who is like God?”, contains its own answer: no created being is equal to the Lord. The most dramatic biblical image of Michael appears in the Book of Revelation, where Michael and his angels battle the dragon, identified with the ancient serpent and the devil. Christian artists transformed this passage into one of sacred art’s most recognizable scenes: Michael armored for battle, overcoming the dragon beneath his feet. Yet the image is not ultimately a celebration of Michael’s strength alone. It is a proclamation of God’s victory over evil.

For generations, Catholics have therefore invoked Saint Michael’s intercession in times of temptation, danger, and spiritual struggle. The traditional Prayer to Saint Michael asks him to defend the faithful in battle and, by the power of God, to oppose the wickedness and snares of the devil. Saint Michael is also traditionally associated with police officers, military personnel, first responders, and those whose vocations place them in the defense or protection of others, making his medal an especially meaningful devotional gift. A Saint Michael medal should not be understood as a lucky charm or an object possessing magical protection. Like other Catholic sacramentals, its purpose is to encourage prayer, strengthen the disposition of faith, and direct the person carrying or wearing it toward God.

The silver-plated finish gives this medal a classic Catholic appearance suitable for wearing on a chain or incorporating into Rosaries, chaplets, bracelets, keychains, and other devotional articles. Its compact one-inch size also makes it convenient as a pocket medal or an addition to a prayer card, Rosary pouch, sacramental gift, or Catholic gift set. Made in Italy from silver-plated ZAMAC rather than lightweight aluminum, these medals are especially well suited for Catholic retailers, Rosary and jewelry makers, parish ministries, Confirmation programs, retreats, military and first-responder gifts, and general Catholic devotional use.

Wear it around the neck. Attach it to a Rosary. Carry it into the ordinary battles of everyday life. And whenever the image of Michael catches the eye, remember the question his name has carried through the centuries: Who is like God? No one.
