The solemnity celebrating the Nativity of Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God made man. Observed on December 25 in the Roman calendar, Christmas proclaims the mystery of the Incarnation and begins a liturgical season extending through the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord in the current Roman calendar.
