The principal Eucharistic liturgy of the Latin Church, in which the Word of God is proclaimed and the sacrifice of Christ is sacramentally made present under the signs of bread and wine. The Mass consists principally of the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist, which form one act of worship.
