Apostolate

The activity by which Christians participate in the saving mission of the Church. Rooted in Baptism and Confirmation, the apostolate includes evangelization, catechesis, works of mercy, missionary activity, sanctification of temporal affairs, and other forms of service undertaken for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.
