The hymn beginning “Glory to God in the highest,” also called the Greater Doxology. Used at Mass on Sundays outside Advent and Lent and on solemnities, feasts, and certain special celebrations, it praises the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and incorporates language derived from the angels’ song at Christ’s birth.
